PartyGaming Purchases its former Skin "Empire Poker"

Online Poker News - By Jim of RakeDrop.com 2/15/2006 PartyGaming Purchases Empire Poker.

PartyGaming announced today that is has acquired Empire Poker, Ace Club, and Star luck Casino for a sum of 250 million dollars.

RakeDrop Online Poker News reported back in 10/10/2005 (See the news article here) the official press release from PartyPoker regarding their new software and split from the "Skin Versions". Previous to this date Empire Poker has been considered by most players a sister site of Party Poker and it was widely known by the players that they were actually playing on a skinned version of PartyPoker while logged into Empire Poker.

Empire Poker went as far as filing a large suit against PartyPoker over the separation. This issue had been lingering many months and is now over with Party Poker having acquired the company.

Empire Online, the same company who previously owned Empire Poker before this sale, still owns and operates NoblePoker.com
