Ted Forrest was crowned last night 2006 National Heads up
champion after beating Chris Ferguson in the final round.
Ironically enough this is the second straight runner up finish
for Chris Ferguson as last year he was defeated by Phil Hellmuth
in the final round.
Ted beat Erik Seidel, Chad Brown, Ernie Dureck, Sammy Farha (the
longest match in NBC’s history at 3 ½ hours) and finally Sean
Sheikhan to sit at the Championship match with Chris Ferguson.
It’s the best two out of three and Chris Ferguson takes the
first match, Ted takes down matches no. 2 and 3 taking the title
and $500,000.
Congratulations to Ted Forrest for adding the National Heads up
Championship to his many
accomplishments over the last 2 years! We look forward to
watching this event on NBC next month.
